Festival Installation – Adaptive Reuse of Bottle Case

For the second year running, we proudly present the Coca-Cola Basket Lunar New Year Installation at The Mills. This installation pays homage to the festive spirit of the Lunar New Year while highlighting the importance of environmental sustainability. By repurposing used Coca-Cola baskets, we have created a visually striking and eco-conscious installation that engages and delights visitors.

The vibrant red color of the Coca-Cola baskets serves as a perfect visual representation of the Lunar New Year’s lively atmosphere. The baskets, once discarded, have been ingeniously transformed into functional elements, serving as both seating areas and floor lamps within the installation. This innovative approach showcases the possibilities of bringing new life to everyday objects and encourages viewers to appreciate the beauty of upcycling.

The seating areas constructed from Coca-Cola baskets invite visitors to rest and immerse themselves in the Lunar New Year festivities. The thoughtful design and careful arrangement of the baskets create a comfortable and visually appealing environment, allowing the audience to experience the joyous spirit of the season.

In addition to providing practical seating, the repurposed Coca-Cola baskets also act as floor lamps, casting a warm and inviting glow throughout the installation. This dual functionality not only enhances the visual impact of the space but also serves as a reminder of the transformative power of sustainable design.

By incorporating used Coca-Cola baskets into this Lunar New Year installation, we aim to raise awareness about the importance of environmental protection. The installation serves as a powerful visual statement, inspiring viewers to reconsider the potential of discarded materials and embrace sustainable practices in their own lives.

We invite visitors to immerse themselves in this captivating installation, celebrating the Lunar New Year in a unique and environmentally conscious way. Through this experience, we hope to inspire a sense of appreciation for the beauty of repurposed objects and foster a greater understanding of the significance of environmental stewardship.
